I have most of the ONI plans on my www.CoatneyHistory.com and Lou Coatney: Home Page webpages, Don. CoatneyHistory lasts only as long as I do - I have to renew it every April, and Sears Credit Cards has always screwed this up. (I use PayPal for it now.)

My health may be good and it may not be.

As to my book of plans, I took time out to design about 5? boardgames (free to print off from CoatneyHistory), and I may do a simple one on the Battle of Matapan, Mar41.

I have to finish up the Sangamon class escort carrier - almost done - and ... an Italian battleship class ... ... also almost done and converted from my old plan I did manually ... with pencil, angles, and other aids, even ... back in Alaska in the 80s.

I should get the book done, while there are still some of us alive interested.

Lou!

I for one am certainly still alive and interested, I hope that your health is good as well. I had been hoping you'd pop back up here again sooner or later. Glad to hear that your book of plans is still in the works, take care of yourself and know that for the most part we're a pretty patient bunch!

Doug

I should be able to get back to work on the book after the middle of July - August for sure.

My new apartment over here in Norway is indescribably (bigger) and better ... and brighter, for design work.

Ok Lou, here comes my 64 cent question now that you have my full attention. How can I get your models? I have never built a ship though I have a close friend how is a master at ship building, maybe it's time to think about trying to build one. Can you help me in my request? These are very well made. They would be prefect for board games or simple displays. Thank you for any help. wc

Two of his ships are available for free on his website:

Lou Coatney: Home Page

Build those first and perhaps his book will be finished by then.

I too am standing outside the Bookseller's. Lovely format, and much more distinctive than some rather dull Japanese ships that I find in a book format once from a Japanese publisher.

BTW. Once learned the two essential sentences for life in Norway. More or less thus:

#1) Jeg wil har en kop koffe.

#2) Jeg wil har en kop koffe til.

(I would like a cup of coffee. I would like another cup of coffee)
