papersurprise, they are in .jpeg, and if you have a graphics program like Paint, you can crop it down to just a ship or two and make them any size/scale you want. I prefer 1:700 ... for gaming (however disproportionate) and modeling.

As I said before, I'm down to the last 3 models, before I finalize my book.
My daughter out West is willing to do the photocopying and mailing, since Norway's inflated costs make desktop publishing/selling out of sight. Nor does Norway - even Staples here in Norway - have legal size paper, which the book will be in for the lengthy ship plans. There may be some urgency here. On Thanksgiving, over here, I was in cancer surgery. They cut out the papillary/fluffy tumor and biopsied some serious looking other places in there - DO NOT ASK how they got *into* my bladder ... or I'll faint . The next morning when I was leaving, my surgeon and the senior urologist opined that I did have bladder cancer and my bladder would probably have to be removed. Two hours later my surgeon telephoned to tell me that the pathologists had found NO CANCER and I didn't need to come back. OH TOO BAD. Tomorrow, I have a CT scan of my abdomen to see if anything else is going on down there, so we'll see how much time ... life ... I have to complete at least the book. If the CT doesn't show anything too, I hope to wrap up the book over Christmas vacation. I've about finished Alabama/South Dakota (BB), Sangamon (CVE), and Giulio Cesare/Andrea Doria (both classes of Bs). |

That sounds terrible! I hope that they don't find anything!

Well, I just discovered my Scale Selector - a given length which the modelmaker can print out at whatever length, according to the scale he or she chooses - was WAY off for my BismarckBattleDestroyersJGP and HMAS Nestor files on CoatneyHistory.
GAHH!! But it's corrected now. But what about the battleships there? As many hits as their free paper model warships webpage gets, I'm astonished no one has informed me about this, all this time. ANYway, I got a new camera ... because I forgot to bring my old one with its rear screen broken and the electronics shop happened to be on my way to my ex-wife's ... for me to pick up my 5 yr old daughter and take her to her barnehage/daycare Christmas party ... so my model ship designing and photographing will be resuming over Christmas vacation ... hopefully. |

I've about finished designing a COLORED model of the Hunt Type 2 escort destroyers. This one is L03 (HMS Badsworth and then) RNoMS Arendal in its 1945 configuration with the radar tower in place of the searchlight platform. Everything seems to be going together very well, with only a few very minor corrections needed.
I've got the hull assembled, and the main components of the superstructure. I'll post photos over the weekend. The prototype scale is ... wait for it ... :-) ... 1:371 ... Fit to Page on an A4. I'm going to resume finishing work on my book of 30 WW2 paper model warships, and my older daughter back in the States says she'll handle sales and shipping. My 7 yr old son and 5 yr old daughter over here are coming down to Flateby for the weekend too. Later, guys. |
