My simple cardstock model ship designs.

I've been designing these since the late 1980s.

For now, here are my manually designed L&M and L/AA class British destroyers photographed in blue light ... somehow.

Cool - they look like the models they used to use on plotting boards to play out battles. There is a big display of them here at the Fleet Engineering School. They are carved from wood though.

You can just imagine a line of freighters in the back ground.

Great models. They definitely capture the essential appearance of the ships.

The models resemble the old Comet 1/1200 recognition models and they look the way I wanted my wooden ship models to look when I built them in the 1950s.

Your ships look great.
I have friends who do WW-II navel battles in 1/700 scale.

Your ships would fit right in with the plastic ships at a very economical cost.
A plastic 1/700 Tamiya Yamato Battleship costs about $23 - $40 and kits with photo etch details will cost $70 - $100.

Obviously, the cost of a fleet of 1/700 scale ships is a major investment.

Paper is much easier on the pocketbook.

What is the scale of these ships? This is a really amazing build, and I am fascinated with microscale modeling, in spite of the fact that I am working on a 1/200 behemoth myself.

Do you have plans available for them?

OK, you guys asked for it. :-)

Some more of my models at 1:700.

That is a Boise class light cruiser in the background, and the Convoy PQ-17 heavy cruisers HMS Norfolk, HMS London, USS Wichita, and USS Tuscaloosa (note its full prewar bridge).
