Gorgeous, Jan!

Another treat...double the pleasure, double the fun; are you doing a build thread as well??

What scale is your build in? Looks a bit smaller than Doris's build. Is your build also a scratch build? I know, questions, questions.:D

Very much looking forward to seeing more on both builds!

Cheers!
Jim

Dear friends!
I appreciate your comments very much and thank you for your support! It is my pleasure that I can share with you the construction of this sailing-ship. It took a long time before I found the courage to go into the building. For me it is one of the most beautiful ships ever cruised the seas.
In addition I would like to improve in English as well, because I like this beautiful language and it´s important for my career.
Jan: Great masterpiece! I am glad you join me!

Today I bring some photos of a small but very significant progress - are finished side laths. Now I can start with bow details and rear galleries. For the three upper laths I used a slightly darker wood to highlight them, but only decently. Stern planking below the waterline was adapted the look of Lely´s portrait.

Loop holes on stern will be closed – there are massive ribs inside, which would impede the cannons.

Beautiful as usual, Doris. This ship looks a real challenge, and I can already see you are really up to it.

Keep it up, Doris!!!

Honestly, after seeing Doris's earlier work, I don't think the Sovereign can't possibly hold any challenge to her whatsoever.

Hello dear friends!
Thank you very much for your good wishes and comments. Now I'm pretty busy – I have a lot of duties and work at home, so I just finished starboard on Sos. I will continue in construction of bow and stern, it will be hard work, but I'm looking forward to it. SOS finally gets the overall shape of the hull and then I´ll start working on boards and decoration.
