Thank you for your recognition, dear friends. That´s a great honour for me and a large motivation and commitment to create my models as well as possible to be worthy of your words. I also appreciate your support that helped me during the work.
I am glad my thread brings useful information and inspiration to you. A lot of valuable and interesting information about SoS and other ships you can also find in Czech forum, i recommend especially a research written by a top expert and Captain (Kpt.KL) with whom I also cooperated on HMS Victory.

ModelForum • Zobrazit téma - HMS Victory z papíru/1:96/ vlastní úprava z roku cca 1798
He has a considerable merit on the results of my work and his professional advice still help me to create more realistic and better models.

I will continue with the tutorial in my newest thread - Royal Caroline, i have some new and interesting techniques "HOW TO DO". Enjoy it.

Best regards,
Doris

I love the parakeet's work on the hull covering. His shaping of the hull planking is amazing. Wonderful work. Looking forward to seeing it grow.

Thank you Doris...

I am scratch building the SOS... Relying primarily on your build log as the old plan sheets I started with were seriously flawed in so many ways.
Thank you for sharing such a great photo log of your amazing build.
Also....the photo of your cockatiel makes me kinda sad, because I lost my little shop buddy several weeks ago (looks identical) to a deadly fatty liver disease.
Make sure your pet doesn't over indulge in sunflower seeds.
Cheers
Dave

Hello Doris,

I'm simply amazed by your work. Such a fine detailed ship should be in a museum or something like it. Truly beautiful. Congratulations!

Regards

Ed

Doris,

I am incredibly impressed with your outstanding work! I have printed pictures of your model and posted it above my work bench to serve as inspiration. Well done!

An inspiration to all model builders. Wood-grained tape is excellent.

Dear Doris;
I'm pretty sure that there shouldn't be cannons in the first gunports on the lower gun deck. Some artists erroneously put a cannon there. They would have been blocked by the anchor cable.
Best wishes;
David Torre
