Here's a shot of what I want to duplicate during this build:

Very Nice! Got to love those big honkin' models that demonstrate just a detailed section of a ships' equipment, especially weapons. Looking forward to seeing just what you come up with.

I have some Dahlgrens laid out in 1/72scale that you are welcome to try at 1/250 scale if you want.

I wasn't planning to go super detail, just add some thread and strings to represent the tackling, and maybe an elevating screw and carriage wheels. Just wanted to point out that with the interior exposed, some detailing can be done without covering up your work. I'll also add some shot and powder bags, rammers, etc. But of course, I'd be willing to take a look at anything you have.

Here's some more shots of the rebuild. Since I described the build earlier, I won't repeat the blow by blow building report. On this build, I'm cutting out all the hatches so I put some wood planking on the base piece. Also took a shot to show what I was talking about the left inner piece of the front armor sheeting is printed on the right side of the hull piece and right inner piece is on the left side.

On the draft PDF, the aft armor plating top piece and outer pieces are missing, only the inner walls are on the sheet. Any chance of getting these parts, Chris, or should I design some from scratch?

Oops, change to above post. On the draft PDF, there's no INTERIOR walls for the aft armor plating. The supplied pieces are for the Exterior plating.

Here's as far as I have gotten with the Tennessee, awaiting some gun bluing before I can proceed. I've gone beyond the first build (boy, it sure was "green"). Added the masts and since the ship was never finished I assumed they would use the masts as cranes. I stole the Brookes guns from the CSS Albermarle for the fore and aft cannons. With the bend in the aft armor plating, I guess an interior wall isn't required. Just wished I had colored the back side of the armor plates before I glued them in place.
