Build report update:

Underwater part of the hull, continuation.

General view

Sonar radome fits good, but this elment needs some fairing to the bow plating:

Keel, shafts stuffing-boxes, shafts supports (one is still under construction):

Shafts and proppelers are to be fitted before rudders. I don't like it for those elements are susceptible to damage. But there's no other way.

Beautiful work on the hull - Nice clean joints. Usually I find the hull the hardest and most time consuming part of any ship build.

Underwater part of the hull is finished.

Portside bilge keel and fin stabilizer:

Propellers. These elements are too far simplified, I need to rethink their design.
Shafts are made of a spoke, trimmed to the desired length. It's not easy to find a spoke with proper diameter - this problem is solved with a rectangle piece of thin 80g/m2 paper winded around, impregnated with CA glue(and sanded to remove seam along its lenght), and painted with acrylic paint.

Now, time for superstructures.

If you say so, I can't find any fault. The more I see the better it looks.

I'm also surprized

These pictures show fore superstructure module build sequence:

-deck and internal construction

-superstructure module slipped in between extended hull plates...

-and glued into position:

Modern surface combatants characterize with large windows around the bridge(or pilot house?), so I'm forced to "fill" empty space of the bridge interior. That is why You can see on these pictures a green "flooring", and a mounting place for navigation console. AFAIK, this one will be the first (or not?) paper model 1/200 scale with (partial) interior

Fore superstructure continuation.

I'm not good enough to build a ladder with thin copper wire, so this is a makeshift one:

Done:

What is important (for me), joints are well hidden.

One of 51 flood lamps:

-components:

-done:

Diameter ~1.2mm. It's pretty funny to glue such a tiny element. Now, I undertstand Yu-San...
