Doc's Maly 1/200 Victory build

First i want to introduce myself i am a 47 year old male retired from the Air Force and on disability i do not work per se a regular job just commissions on my artwork and computer work. So i have a lot of time on my hands i first got turned on to paper modeling from the other hobbies i have namely wooden/plastic ship modeling another site has a section on paper card models and i read through a few build logs there and i thought it would be cool to try this out. So i have been here everyday sometimes s few times a day reading gathering the data (how to) so i got myself dander up and said i am going to do it so i went on ebay (do not freak out people) i got a real kit (book) from a guy on there of the Maly 1/200 "Victory" here is a pic of the kit below?. I have made a small table for me to work on and gathered the tools needed and have laid out the initial bulkheads and bulkhead formers for the ship but have yet to cut them out. perhaps in a day or so as my hands do not work real well and i have to work a little at a time and then rest...nerve damage. so bear with me the adventure begins.

Good luck with this one! I certainly would not have picked that as my first paper model - but if you have ship modeling experience it probably doesn't look as daunting.
Look forward to seeing this one come together.

Doc,
I'll be watching your progress with interest! I have this kit and I know I'm not advanced enough of a paper modeler (or ship modeler) to even consider this model. But I've seen it completed and it looked very impressive indeed! After a year of shoulder and hand problems, I relate to the challenges of paper modeling with physical limitations. Just keep in mind that there's no rush in paper modeling (unless it's a competition!) and getting there really is all the fun!
I wish you the very best of luck on this adventure and look forward to your insights on the building process.
Chris

Good luck with this build! I hope you enjoy it as much as we will by watching your progress. Build often and post even more.

Good luck, Doc! The Victory is my favorite ship and I have several versions of her in both wood and paper. I have yet to begin cutting on one, but it is a goal to build at least one in my lifetime! I own the Anatomy of a Ship of her and love to pull it out and just look at the pages! Look forward to your progress!!

attaching pictures is simple,

1. you can create an album here on the site, and link to the picture that way.

2. use a free online photohosting site, like photobucket or similar, and use the link they provide to link the picture to your build

3. use the free space provided by your ISP, and use that url to link to the forum post
