You always take a ruler with you to the supermarket to make sure you buy the toilet roll or paper towel roll with the tube diameter that you need for your next model.

I know I am, I live in a housing estate that is under construction, I look at ALL the dumpster bins in the street to see if anything useful has been thrown out.
PS. I will even go out of my way to new development areas to check bins.

You spend a day at the dollar store looking for clear plastic covers on items suitable for canopies and nose cones.

You spend some sleepless nights unable to choose which model to print out and build.
(Just downloading more plans makes things worse. Decisions, decisions.)

You do RAT tests and look at the bit of the swab you break off and see a roller for making small tubes, a splint for damaged parts or a strengthen er for long tubular parts.

You were thrown out of the Card Model World swap meet when you arrived with card model kits in plastic storage tubs.

You asked your doctor if you could have his disposable exam table cover to use as a cutting board.
