Perfection in paper. It's coming along beautifully.

Thank you guys
@Vermin King: I just posted it in the appropriate thread

I just recognized that the cellophane was not glued properly to the paper. Resulted in a fold in the cellophane... Maybe I used the wrong glue. I just think about cutting the windshield covering off again and redo it taking the right glue...
Just thinking... That is someting I can do on the finished model as well... So maybe this is someting to correct later on.

No, Sky-1 is a submarine-launched aircraft, flown in the Earth's atmosphere (also known as Skydiver 1). The Interceptor is one of 3 defense craft, based on the moon, that is the first line of defense against the UFO's headed for Earth.

I know because I just finished re-watching the series on Youtube.

Cool

Chris

How about showing the cockpit open? The window is so opaque that I can't see anything inside?

Interesting project. I remember watching this show as a kid back then. I always laughed when I saw the UFO spinning in space. I think they were so easy to shoot down because they were so dizzy from spinning

Keep up the good work. Please make sure that the aerial torpedo/missile looks good since it is attached to the nose

I thought about opening the cockpit. I have to do some research which way the cabin opens. I know it is dark. Currently I think about redoing thewindow shields as the glue I used seems to be the wrong.
Slowly continuing

It's a good question...you never actually get to see any of the pilots entering the Interceptor, just jumping into the deployment tube from the ready room. It's possible that they never really through it through as the pilot to cockpit sequence is a hall mark of many other Gerry Anderson craft e.g. SKY-1, TB-1, TB-2, TB-3, BIG RAT, etc

Well there too are no pics showing an open canopy... The way that makes most sense will be an opening to the front or back. Have to try which one looks better... I too did not find any sources how the correct way may be...

Since this vehicle makes no sense in engineering terms, the show makers did not elaborate on pilot entry either.

My suggestion is to keep one side of the transparency off and to the side so you can see the interior . You do not need to hinge it or slide it...
