Beckychestney,

I am so thrilled to have found this thread. I have spent an hour going through each photo, video, and comment. Your WDW diorama layout is truly inspiring. I thank you for the dedication to your craft, which inspires the rest of us.

Thanks! It was a lot of fun!

I haven't said anything but, the layout's future is 100% in limbo right now. My mother passed on Easter Sunday and soon I'll have to leave this house. What I know for sure is that I can't take these huge models with me and in fact I'll be selling off about 90% of my collections in general.

Becky,

Thank you for sharing your loss. I think most of us have felt or experienced and sense of tragedy these past months.

Also, if I wasn’t clear in my previous post, I am very appreciative for your models at the Disney Experience site. Such talent and passion should not go un-noticed or un-appreciated. I look forward to designing together in the future.

No more Disneyland in paper 😥😥😥
Is there anywhere this wonderful piece can be housed ? I think it means a lot to many of us on this site, and I for one would be greatly saddened to know that it was no more.

Well, I offered it free to anyone who wants to come to Ohio and adopt it but haven't gotten any takers. Robert Nava, originator of the Disney Experience models, suggested giving them a "viking funeral" like he does with all his test models. I decided that since my fireplace flue is jammed that probably wouldn't be a good idea.

My condolences on your loss.
When I had to dispose of 500 model aircraft I made sure that I had photographs of each and every one. That was in the days of film cameras. It should be easier to do it with digital technology today. It's surprising how much you find that you have forgotten about details after a few years and the photos help to remind you.

Sad to hear of your loss, I do hope there is still a chance that most if not all of your work can find a home.

Well, I hoped to sell the models but my lawyer advises me that if anybody at "the big D" finds out all parties could get in trouble. I have a similar issue with my plywood Christmas decorations:

It will be a pretty good estate sale though:

The pile has tripled in size since I took this photo!

Many of my models have been saved and are now safe in the hands of private collectors!

Good to read that they are safe.
The display has always been a fun thing to look at.
