Piasecki HUP-1 Retriever 1/100 Artvars
A model that was almost ready and I was ashamed of myself and finished it today. Another helicopter, and one of my favorites. The Piasecki HUP-1 began development in 1945 for a US Navy requirement as an ASW, COD, and SAR scout aircraft, entering US Navy service in 1949 and staying in service as the Navy's primary shipboard helicopter for a few years as a utility rotary wing machine, soon replaced by the HO3S1 and the HSS-1 in larger and more powerful anti-submarine missions, although also equipped with a piston engine. For many years the tandem arrangement of rotors was preferred by Piasecki and its successor companies. The HUP-1 was used by the Aeronavale and the Royal Canadian Navy in the 1950s in addition to the US Army with limited use (in this case designated the UH-25). 1/100 scale model by Artvars, designed by dear and talented friend Leito de la Rosa.

That is really cool, I found out from my uncle , now 93, that my grandfather was friends with Piasecki and he was a cool guy, nice to see what his birds looked like I think yours looks better than some of the photos...
