Spanish Civil War paper model mystery
 

Friends: It's been a while since I've checked in on the Forum and I'm really glad to see a "Vintage Model" section as that's what I'm most interested in.

That said, I don't know if this is the right place for this post, but I hope you can help me out.

I'm trying to locate the recent purchaser of 350 Spanish Civil War paper models from a dealer in Barcelona by the name of Rouse.

Here's what little I know: he's in his 50s and he lives in Chicago (where I live!) Unfortunately, I'm the only vintage paper model collector I know in Chicago.

I'm trying to locate the owner on behalf of Francesc Lopez Sala, a collector of paper theaters and Spanish Civil War models who would very much like to contact the purchaser to help complete his own collection.

If you haven't seen the video of the museum exhibit of part of Francesc's collection, it's worth a look.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated! Tom

I just thought, since I was asking for help, I'd contribute a scan of a paper model as thanks in advance.

What is the size of your scan? If it's small, would you be willing to rescan it at a higher dpi? If you would send the file to me, I'll restore it and upload it to the downloads section.

If you check, you will see I have uploaded dozens of restored vintage paper models with many dozens more to go.

And my thanks to Charles Maj Davenport for reworking all those models and uploading them.
