7.1 Earth Quake Ruble Pile

Here is a photo of items needing rebuilt after last years 7.1 Earthquake: Christmas Decoration Event-1-eq-damage.jpg

As you can see; the sled runners are smashed, the delivery van has a broken axle, the Redstone needs re-attached, the tree trunk is bent up in the structure, tree trunk warped end doesn't stay in wood base, electrical wire from launch controller to rocket got spilt in half (not sure how), and the launch pad needs new legs.

After all that can then do the lighting and decorations/garlands on tree again.

Already started the rebuild process. Inserted a wood dowel to fix the trunk issue. Tree stands straight now. Had to add wraps of masking tape to increase the size of a 7/8" diameter wood dowel.

Work in progress!

Mike

Back in October I began designing some ornaments for Christmas. As usual, I am proceeding at a glacial pace. :/ Below are pictures of my third and fourth test builds. Test Ornament 003 looks okay but I made a mistake sizing the parts resulting in mediocre fit. Test Ornament 004 fit much better and used new connecting strips but looks ugly. Both are 60mm in diameter.

Another Nativity

Dear All:

Very nice contributions you all!

I tried one of the Nativities in Papermau, but I didn't calculate properly the adequate size and it was oversized and a lot of the extras didn't fit.
Nevertheless I was able to save the basic Nativity: the Holy Family, the Wise Men, the Shepherds, a few sheep, and the Bethlehem Star. The only element missing to be the absolute minimal (in my mind) Nativity is an angel.
.
But the next one is going to be 50% to 75% smaller in order to be complete.

Hello from snow covered Deep River. Today, I finished the 'Boxy Christmas Set' from PaperPino (thank you Pino). It was a lot of fun to build. Wishing everyone a happy and safe Christmas.

Hi all !!!!

Last Christmas I built this "Christmas Train" that is still visible in my bookshelf :-)

Unfortunately, this year, there was so few spare (free) time that I'm still trying to understand if I'll have enough time or not to build something of nice for this strange (pandemic) Christmas 2020

Anyway I wish you all a Merry Christmas and, more than other things... stay safe !!

Ciao
Jp
