Announcing the 1st Paper Modelers

I figure for the first Paper Modelers contest, we would make it a little interesting. So there will be two parts to the contest. First to enter the contest all you have to do is join the Paper Modelers forum and make 10 posts (max of 4 posts per day will count we counted for the contest). This will enter you into the first draw for a $50.00 gift certificate from the Hobby Factory.

The second part of the contest is where things get interesting. If you recommend the site to a friend who signs up and enters the contest (Joins and makes 10 posts) you will be enter into the second draw for another $50.00 gift certificate from the Hobby Factory.

You can send your friend the following link with the XXX replaced with your referrer ID.

http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/index.php?referrerid=XXX

Check out http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/f...errals_explain for a full explanation on using the referrer links and how to use them.

When your friend registers, there will also be a box to enter “who referred you to the site”, which will also work.

Good luck to everyone, and since they always add the following line to contests, I have decided to add it. Odds of winning will depend on how many people decided to enter the contest. Contest rules may be updated at anytime. Contest will run from posting till 11:59:59 pm July 31st, 2007.

I think you have to clarify the timezone for the end of context. You have a lot of guys around the world here.

Good Point. How about we use PST. While I hope everyone is not waiting till the last second to post it should have been mentioned. So the contest will close at 23:59:59 PST July 31st, 2007.

Why?? and what is PST?? Why shouldn't we use GMT... Evertything in the world is either + or - GMT..... GMT is the 0 Hours reference point. It's also, as you no doubt know, the navigational reference line for the whole world.

Geeeeezzzz... Damned colonials think everything revolves around them ROFLMAO... It's all that salt water tea they drink. Rotts the brain you know. LOL

Best Regards,
Julian (Fozzy The Bear)

p.s. Personally I really don't think it's that important when you close it. You're only picking a name out of a hat from a list that have complied with the rules. It's not that big a deal that we need to know the results on the second it closes. It really doesn't matter.

I think the same, but I think is good to be clear with the contest rules. We can avoid misunderstands in a new forum.

by the way I think GMT is more global.

And the winners are...

Nope, two members have won.

I would just like to thank everyone who has joined over the last month, and to those that have entered our contests. Without a further adieu here are the winners of the $50.00 gift certificates from the Hobby Factory .

Johnny & John Bowden

Thanks again to everyone who entered, and I will be contacting the winners later today.

Jason
