Converting .mqo to .obj

Would anyone know how to convert a Metasequoia file to an .obj or a .3ds file? I have the free or trial version of Meta so all save functions are disabled. I have researched this for about 3 days with no luck. I can't find a program that imports .mqo in order to convert it to something else, preferably .obj. I sure would appreciate all and any help on this. Thanks for reading this.

If you get the shareware version, it should be able to do that?

Converting .mqo to .obj

Do you mean if I have the Metasequoia shareware on my computer or if I have also paid and registered it? I haven't paid for it as I use another program for modeling. Saving is disabled on the Metasequoia I have. Thanks for your help!

UMC2 in the self help down load area can read mqo files and generate .obj files. If you have problems I may have a later version taht may help.

.mqo to .obj

Thanks so much for your suggestion! I found the UMC2 right where you said it would be. It converted one .mqo into .obj but SILO (3d app. I am using)
wouldn't open it. It said it had loaded successfully but model was no where to be found. I tried many times. I couldn't get UMC2 to open the same .obj it had just "made" either. When I tried it gave message,"MFCGL MFC App. has stopped working". I am checking with the SILO folks to make sure I have all settings correct for the import into SILO, but I am 99% sure I do, as I import different types of files daily. Did you mention there might be a newer version? I sure would appreciate any follow-up on that. Thank you for all of your help.

I can't vouch for the validity of this software but it does claim to work on both *.obj and *.mqo files. So perhaps it will do what you need in your workflow.

Marbleclay and Blender are 2 free cad software you could use for this.
Blender needs a script to do it.
There's also 3dsMax - free for "students" for 3 years. (needs free metasequoia plugin)

.mqo to .obj

Thank you to all who offered your suggestions on my conversion dilemma. My .mqo files are now converted to .obj files and I can use them on Silo. Even though all of the applications didn't do the trick, I got to learn about some new, to me, 3d oriented applications. This forum is a great help to me as I go about trying to learn 3d modeling. Hopefully, one day, I will be able to respond to questions from other people, instead of always asking for help.
