If the file came directly from Paper-Replika, it is clean.
I have never seen a problem with one of their files. I consider them a "trusted" download source. Make sure you aren't being directed somewhere else to download something. Their files are zipped and need a standard uncompression software. I'm not aware they share any PDO (pepakura) files though? I could be wrong on that since I don't always pay attention to PDO files. (Can I ask what file you are trying to get from Paper-Replika?) ... 7Zip is a great program that can create or extract all kinds of "archived" (compacted) files. AND ITS FREE! it handles zips, rars and more, including 7zip which has a much better compression ratio. Anyway, its free HERE ... If you have proper Antivirus and AntiMalware protection you can actually scan and detect problems within archived files before you unpack them. Some protections will do this automatically, but almost all will allow you to scan a file or folder by right clicking it after you have downloaded the file but before you have unpacked it. Although its important to be alert, you will also find many so called "threats" are nothing more that similar patterns of data that your AntiVirus software thinks is some sort of virus. False reactions. [Note: I have always found AVG antivirus a good source for false positive alerts. I say this because many people use the free AVG software.] The trick is downloading from trusted sources and having proper working protection running on your system. Don't panic when you see a Virus or threat...if you have the proper systems in place they will take care of the problem. Just as a suggestion, I run Malwarebytes AntiMalware (its worth paying for) and Avira Free Antivirus which is proving to be an amazing program, especially for free. (However you can purchase the premium version which offers more substantial email protection...its cheap.) I like the performance of Avira but Malwarebytes integrates into my browser and controls most of the malicious problems out there. [oh, but I also am running Windows 7, which does have a better firewall in place too]

Did you click on the right link? The advertisements disguised as links (light blue) at paper-replika are a nuisance. Why can't they be green with a double underline like on many other sites? The real links are in a darker greyish colour.

Hi duditz72,
you might want to try WINE, a windows "emulator" developed for Linux but also available for Mac OS X. It seems that some versions of Pepakura do work. I don't however have any experience myself with WINE and Pepakura. I used to run LDRAW in WINE on a Linux computer. That was a workable combination. kind regards
