Importing from 3ds max and keeping textures & mapping intact?

Hi

As the title, I'm wondering if there's anything out there which will preserve the original texture and mapping with an object created in 3ds max.

thanks
joe

Export as .obj ???

Depends really because 3dsmax can have multiple UV layers, in which case you need to renderbake it then collapse the layers to the renderbaked target UV layer.

Many thanks Codex. I used the bake render feature and effectively unlocked what I wanted to do, without having to use another program.

cheers

Ah ok

For paper models I find it easier to save the render baked image in 2 parts, diffuse and lighting, that way you can adjust the lighing level in photoshop without needing to renderbake it again.
