lwo file extension viewer
I've recently been provided a link to many 3D models from NASA. Most are in a .lwo format. Does anyone have a recommended viewer for this file type?
I don't have a 3D printer, but I'm interested in exploring the models to possibly de-mesh them - or take dimensions to create models from. |

Let me Google that for you ...
It seems that the .lwo file format is used and created by Lightwave 3D design software. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rc...tDy4hNcnUEkLRA I haven't tried it myself, but this could be of use to you. Online 3D Converter Let us know how you get on.

lol, sure yes. I googled first too and then decided that before I download some random malware laden, free-to-download-left-arm-and-leg-to-use warz I would ask you all if you'd have a recommendation.
But I always love the google link. L) |

Don't dismiss that Online 3D Converter link too quickly. Just click on it and have a read. As I say, I haven't tried it, but it does specifically mention that it works with LWO files.

Blender.
You will need to enable "Import Lightwave Objects" in the Add-ons panel under "User Preferences".
