Translate
Dear Friends:
I am running an antique Computer with Windows XP and Firefox as the browser: The Computer Guy only charged us $25.00 for the computer Said stay away from Google browser as that was what killed the last computer. My question is How do I do translations done in Foxfire like I did in Google? I like the middle euro models and don't speak Polish, Czech, Russian, Etc. We also get some interesting things on this forum. Thanks Miles |

Install Translate This into Firefox.
Works well for anything not affected by ad-blocking programs. Instantly translates entire pages into any language. How can a Browser kill your computer? If you don't take the necessary security precautions, thats what kills a computer. (If we are talking about malicious internet viruses and software.) Was your computer guy referring to Google Chrome? Because as far as I know, its one of the cleanest browsers. Other than the MS connection, it actually works better than Firefox. I have been considering dropping Firefox altogether (I currently run both browsers) Firefox has been getting slower and more temperamental over the last few versions. Many users are jumping ship. I also use FreeTranslate, Bing Translate, and GoogleTranslate websites.

Google Chrome isn't perfect but cannot damage a computer. Like airdave mentioned, no browser covers all bases. I use mostly Firefox (I like to archive pages I visit, and for me Firefox saves whole pages better), but always keep Chrome around. Some sites work better (or at all) with one browser or another; I usually blame lazy or understaffed developers who don't test properly for different browsers. Regarding translations I usually try translate.google.com. It's not as automatic as Chrome offering to translate for you, but works in any browser. |

have a similar add-on for Opera, but it is not working on Bilsport
Would it being an archived site on the Wayback Machine be the reason?? I have it set to Always Translate, but....... I dumped the G browser when I lost my Youtube account. I wanted it to Stay separate from gmail, but they would not allow that SO All things G went!! Added 3 different translators to Firefox Not sure Maxthon has a page translator.
