It does, but I find that detailing is a lot clearer, and any shading or blurring is a lot clearer as well. Besides, you still have your svg, files to make the any changes in. As well, it also solves the issue identified above.

Thanks MacSongLi, I´ll try it this afternoon. What I have is the Adobe Reader "known bug". Very difficult to solve. I spend $10 into the Adobe On-line solutions but even they can´t tell me clearly what´s the fault.

Inkscape has very limited capabilities and settings for creating a pdf file.
Its designed mainly for text documents.
To make manageable PDFs from graphics and images, it might not be the best choice.

I don't know exactly what is going on here.
Its sounds like you are just seeing "layers" that have been created and saved in the pdf ...as they load?
This is normal for certain types of pdf.
Resaving the pdf through various programs is not the solution.
Changing image content to raster may be a consideration, but not necessarily the right solution.
And "known bugs"? with Reader (which is not a pdf creator)...not sure what this means.

I would first suggest using a proper PDF creation program.
And integrate it into Inkscape (if possible) or use it as a standalone pdf creator.

I use Adobe Acrobat, which is automatically integrated into whatever graphics program I am using.
But, it does cost money.

And with whatever PDF program you use, you should familiarize yourself with the various settings and output options of your pdf save.
Adjust the settings to best suit the type of file you are saving and its intended uses.
Optimizing your pdfs is also a consideration, using your own personalized settings.

FoxIt is a pdf creator...but be careful when installing.
It is usually bundled with other software (malware in some cases).
Opt for the manual/custom install, and carefully inspect the entire installation process.

Thank you airdave. Since migration to Foxit the problem has stoped and I go to see all the setings. Again Thank you.

Use of Inkscape

Hello Tony,

i use Inkscape myself for models.
I had the same problem as you.
There is a very simple solution, since the problem is with the PDF renderer!
In Inkscape in the File Menu, there is the option to export your graphic as a png file.

With this option, the whole graphic is rendered correct.
Converting the png file into pdf format is quite simple, first you can convert it with another program, for example in Gimp.

The other option, you import the png file back into inkscape via the Import Option, put it preferably on a seperate layer and save it in pdf format.
That's all.
I hope i could help!

Yours sincerely

Thomas

This may well clear the clutter and will retain the vector content.
Like the man said some time back. No need to loose your vectors in The Gimp.

And, as anyone who has actually installed it from the given url will know, Foxit is not bundled with other software and is not in any way associated with malware.
