Did you get a mandatory Firefox update (the necessary updates)?
or did you just choose to update to a newer version (which is probably a beta)? I haven't opened Firefox in weeks...so, as soon as I did, I expected an immediate notice of update. But there wasn't one. My Firefox isn't telling me to update. Its not even asking. My version is Firefox Quantum 66.0.2.64 bit It does say I can update to 66.0.5...but its not asking me to. I won't...until they demand it...after they have tested it...on you! LOL Everyone knows you don't buy a new car in its first year of production! And...you don't mess with whats working, unless you have to. This happens with every Firefox update...add-ons become incompatible..until someone fixes them. This is nothing new.

If you click the HELP tab at the top of the open Firefox browser, and then the ABOUT line, Firefox will open a sub window which has an update button. Click UPDATE to load the latest update. I waited until posters on a couple of software forums had said they had updated and encountered no immediate problems. |

Well as you see, they are already up to update 66.0.5. That means there were 3 fixes since you updated (and had issues) five days ago. This is always the case...especially with Firefox...as bad as Microsoft now! lol The more they tweak and modify things, the more problems are created...and the more fixes are needed.

Mozilla Foundations's response to having broken interent.
Mozilla to track infrastructure time-bombs in wake of recent Firefox armagadd-on
https://www.zdnet.com/article/mozilla-to-track-infrastructure-time-bombs-in-wake-of-recent-firefox-armagadd-on/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- I am already one update behind. I use portable version Firefox, in fact whenever I can I use a portable version of a program, if available, to reduce the chances of the program damaging my OS or its having a fatal interaction with another installed program, a bit of paranoia that dates back to the "DLL Hell" of the early days of Windows. |

If you don't want to (or can't) update to the latest Firefox, then you can install the "Disabled Add-on Fix for Firefox" extension Mozilla just released.
Mozilla has a blog post about it, along with three versions of the same extension (the first three bullet points of the post.) Just be sure to choose the one which matches your version. https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2019...ns-in-firefox/ Cheers!
