Bragging Rights! (Or, Fortezza Shuttle revisited)
Some of you old timers from the other site may remember my build of the Fortezza shuttle and matching stack.
I had done it around late November and sent it off to my friends at Johnson Space Center (they are both mission trainers and work with the astronauts to prep them for the shuttle missions.). My only request was if they could take a picture of the model in an official NASA setting and send it to me. Well, they went me one better! With a picture being worth a 1000 words, check these puppies out: (click on the image to see it full size) Here is my model in front of the Shuttle Motion Base Simulator, which is a full scale mock up of the cockpit on hydraulic pistons. Think a huge flight simulator and you've got it. In short, they loved it." How's that for braggin' rights? ![]() Last edited by Ekuth; 07-17-2007 at 11:35 AM. |
