Exactly. HP inkjet 66 lb. photo paper (250 gr./m2) to be exact.
I have built ships from the matte finish paper as well but the colors aren't as bright and the paper seems to expand a bit from the glue, making the parts hard to fit if they're not completely dry. My first experience with matte paper was with Al Shepard's ship, and it was much harder making the heatshield fit properly, and the capsule didn't look as good when finished. Interestingly, the Gemini series seems to be easier to build and looks more natural when done in matte. ![]() (The microscope and slide rule are real, not paper...) He got as far as the Blue Gemini, and if you want a Saturn V there are others to be had around this site, as well as a lunar module, and an Apollo CSM.
But I don't know if he's still working on anything new or not. Personally, I like the graphics on his models a lot. |
