Couple of portraits with the previously built FG planes. I might be nice to play with scales - pick some model and try to build it from large version to the smallest one can do. Maybe someone has already done it?

Blaah! I don't know why this happened but I got confused scaling this plane. Original parts we're printed out at 25%. I had to build the landing struts and windshield twice but realised minutes ago that I printed them out at 33,3% so the model presented parts from differently scaled model sheets. No wonder it looked a bit strange.
I printed those parts once again, take the windshield and landing gear out and re-build them accordingly. Sorry about this. No wonder you've all been so silent - you just didn't wanna embarres me. :o |

Here are some pictures explaining what went wrong. The first one shows the printout scale difference the bigger being 33,3%. During the first try I had to stiffen the struts with CA and with the second I didn't. Wonder why I didn't stop to think there.
The second picture shows the size difference of the parts in question. I think the difference needs to be corrected. And that's what I'm going to do. |

If you printed it at 33% it's 1:128 scale, at 25% it would be 1:168 scale!
Very cool build, looks a lot like my 1:72 scale DGA D.31 Turbulents. Fun little planes to build. I had all I could do at 1:72 - your model is incredible.

Wow! I've tried scaling down FG models, but I could never get them to look so good. Even with the mistake!

That is a remarkable Fly Baby! You must have teenie tiny little fingers! Whatever, it is a very nice airplane. (Don't leave it out in a room with someone that has a fly swatter...)

Thanks for the kind compliments fellow modelers. Tiny tweesers - it's like 'Tapcho the tweeserhand'. @ cmags: What is it that I don't get with these scales. When I enter the WSAM number of the model to the scale calc it suggests that the scale I built this one is something between 1:144 and 1:200, your scale offering matches to that scenery. But when I compare actual wingspan of FlyBaby (28 feet) to that of my model (62 mm) I get a different scale being 1:135.
