Great build. The 'unusualness' of the craft makes for an interesting conversation piece for display.

Project Lun is finished.

Few pictures showing final shape of this beauty:

Radar domes and deflectors. Although those elements have complex shape, build was much easier, than they look.

Top view. Antennas on nose section were pretty difficult to glue - it took two hours to achieve very average effect. I still don't know how to deal with such a tiny details:

Fully armed Dove. It's not easy to see, but ball-turret is equipped with two-barreled 23mm (?) gun:

Thanks guys for support and all good words!!

Looks very cool. A craft I had never heard of - but I could see myself maybe making this one sometime down the road.

Very cool. It's just screaming 'build me in 1:33!' If only I had a whole room to devote to it.

Can't see any reason, since Lun is a ship, not plane. :D

Really fantastic design and build. I heard about these craft back in the late 80's while working at Sikorsky Aircraft. There was much speculation about them and about what else might exist that we did not know about. You really captured the nose section of the ship, one of it's most distinctive features from the anti-spray shields on the bow and the engines. It is classified as a boat which should encourage any shipbuilders who want to try and make a true "flying boat". Superb and alone, the only paper model of this craft and one of the few models, most which aren't that good, or are resin models and aren't that big or detailed.
