John...won't raise any hackles with me, but I worked for a few wing commanders that wouldn't argue the merits of the Phantom...they'd just make a low, high-speed pass over your house, kick in the AB and point the nose straight up.

Then they might come back and ask if you had any questions.

You know me Ash............. I've got nothing against the Phantom........but I LOVE to stir the pot.:D

Some reasons the Phantom won out over the Super Crusader was it (The Pantom)had an extra crewman........ Navy wanted 2 on board........... It had two engines........... Navy wanted 2 on board........... and it DIDN'T have a gun.........later the Navy WAS wanting 2 on board!

Oh........ they also wanted a plane that smoked.....:p
