As Rick said we have discussed some options in the past, but need more suggestions. So if you know of a site that covers the issue tackfully, please pass it on. We will review all an work to implement it into our community.

The NWACC has a "Necrology" in each issue of its publication, that has list and occasional bio members who recently passed away.
Also consider having on list tribute to designers and publishers who were not members but left their mark on paper modelling.

We have spoken about this before, as a team member i am all for it. I find it very hard to remove friends from my list who i know are not with us anymore, i keep them there out of respect, and when i see their names it's a reminder of all the good things they did/shared with us here on the forum. A place we can do this in a pleasant, caring and sharing way would be right here on the forum.

My thoughts:
I have always liked "In Memoriam" over anything else when referring to those who have departed us. …Having said that, how about "Final Cuts" as a name for the section? I know many of the railroad communities will announce someone's passing someone under the "Final Run" heading.

Gone but not Forgotten RIP
Great idea - especially for those who keep announcing that they're leaving but then come back after being dead and/or gone for awhile.
I believe this to be a form of Attention Deficit Disorder wherein some are just playing around for sympathy while others contract an extreme case of the malady (and fail to notice that they were supposed to return). Happens to the best of us on occasion. An entry might go like this: "Mr. Doe left our warm and wonderful group while attempting to build tank treads for an entire 1:16 scale Panzer Korps tank diorama. Mr. Doe was on his 44th set of treads when he just got up and walked away and hasn't been seen by anyone since. Our kind commiserations go out to Mrs. Doe and her 13 kids on Mr. Doe's unexplained disappearance." Splitting up estrangement from just outright dying might be splitting hairs though for some in the group it maybe really difficult to tell the difference. To those who have truly passed on and aren't coming back, my condolences. To those who are just practicing, please accept my forgiveness. -Gil
