There's a very simple answer to all of this that doesn't involve bacon, monkeys, sex, pictures of lovely ladies, etc etc. Just take the time to say "thank you". Which means I have to write a lot of thank you notes. Ah well, I needed a rest from the smell of Elmer's….

I think the problem is that there are a lot of paper modelers that don't feel thanks are needed to give or receive. but a smaller percentage of modelers have realized that it is required to do so.

reading this topic is, I have to admit, real fun

now, after reading most of the thread decided to put few words together (again), regardless of chargeable goodies or free downloads, I think one question should be answered to have the situation clear:

if designing or building anything for own pleasure (as was admitted previously) and sharing it on the net *why* would anyone expect being praised and thanked for?

(unless it is a specific model for specific person for specific request than it's more than obvious to say thankiee sai for workiee done!

if feedback is required let this community know, believe there will be more than few happy modelers to assist/beta test any work, don't expect pple from Internet to have manners, otherwise there will be only disappointment.

stay glued
cheers

I don't see why you airdave feel the need to defense yourself about Uhn. that's no one business.

And I 2nd paperercruise on "selling a model for a few bucks doesn't make it a business. I love designing and getting some money for it too making it even more sweet. I would be very happy if people would send some money to buy paper and ink to keep me going. Or just send me paper ( I like Epson 11.7"x16.5") or ink (Epson workforce 1100) so I don't have to go out to buy them. But, most wouldn't, taker don't give, that's fine. So for now, I will limit my giving only to handful of modeler only (and they do say thank you) that I can trust not to pirate my models.

Lucky monkey….

Wow. I was hoping this was buried deep enough in the archives that it wouldn't be dredged up again.

Can we close this please?

in ''reel life'' people say please and thank you for your generosity and helpful attitudes.

in ''real life'' yer lucky if you pull back all of your bloody stump when you reach out to help in any way.
