Tools of the Trade

I looked through our web site looking for information about the web sites of Tool Stores. I'm in need of a special tool and when I went looking I couldn't find the listing of the places we go to for Tools of our Trade. If once again I'm in error please show me the way and remove this post. wc

I don't think we have anything like that here. People post about things they find helpful, but they are scattered around.

What type of tool are you looking for?

Check out Widget Supply out of Albany, Oregon.
https://www.widgetsupply.com/

They have a lot of helpful tools that are easily adapted to paper modeling.

V.K. at the time I was looking for Ball Burnishers but had no idea what the tool was called. The people here gave me the information but at the time I was looking for links to the kind of hardware stores or tool stores that have the kind of tools we all need from clamps to special brill bits to cutting knives and etc. What ever tool one of us might need. Maybe have a area where we all could post links to our tool stores that we come across. It sure would have helped me out .wc

I use the one from Harbor Freight that Allen Tam suggested. It works great and has the ball end burnishers and the concave holes in the block. Very useful!

Rub-on lettering burnishing tool is what you need, I think.

Try: Burnisher, Ball Tipped, burnishing tool, FLS Discount Supplies
or: http://www.amazon.com/Chartpak-Adjus.../dp/B001Q5LN86

Just don't use an aluminium tool though, I have found they can leave grey/black marks......
