Captured P-51, Zio Prudenzio, 1/144

Todays TBT model is the P-51B, in a Luftwaffe captured scheme.
The original kit is from Zio, and the build dates from July of 2004.
We had been in Germany for about 8 months at this point in time.

This model existed on my sons shelf until a couple of years ago,
when he decided to see if it would fly!

Good-looking P-51 Ray. I take it that the plane did not survive first flight.

No, it survived the first flight. It was the follow on testing that
showed its weakness!

I am enjoying seeing these images of past builds, Ray. Keep 'em flying!

At first I thought "Ray built one of my first Mustang kits!"

(The Kennueng T9+HK was one of the very first kits I did for ecardmodels, about 7 years ago!
Based on one of Marek's wonderful earlier designs.)
https://www.ecardmodels.com/index.ph...eng-t9-hk.html)

But then I realized, from the photos and Ray's description, that this is not my kit.
The colours are much different.
Not that it isn't another one of his amazing miniature builds!

But, I think you should try it again Ray.
12 years later.

...and because I need some photos for the store.
...and because I always enjoy your micro-scale builds.
