1. Try asking your local Staples, OfficeMax, etc. if they will order A4 cardstock for you.

2. Use legal size (8.5x14) card stock and set your printer to print on A4.

3. Glue a short strip of paper on the leading edge of your letter size cardstock.
If the printer is set as A4, the leading edge will print at 9mm.
The leading edge strip should extend about 7mm past the edge of the letter size cardstock.

Provided all pages are of the same resolution / bounding box, fit to page should be fine and I've done these for many models I printed. Of course it's not always safe so manual scaling is recommended.
