Have a read of this thread: Vacu-Form?

There are others in the forums, if you search for 'vaccu-form', 'form canopies' and/or 'mold canopies'. Sometimes, you can find some hints in some the larger build threads which had clear windows made for the model.

if you need kelp dude i got a whole shoreline of it here!
here is what you do,.....
you will need this stuff later so go down to the hardware store and buy this grey putty, it is for plumbing, and it squishes together and gets hard in ten minutes
NOT THE NEVER HARDENING PLUMBERS PUTTY!!!! MAKE SURE YOU GET THE HARDENING EPOXY LIKE CLAY!!!
then make a positive of your cockpit.
when it is hard, for like an hour,
heat up a plastic coke bottle and push it into the hot plastic, let it cool and trim.
you can also make a translucent one out of white glue and toilet paper over regular modelling clay.

See: Clear Aircraft Canopy with packing tape

It shows you how to make clear canopies using packing tape.
