Nicely done with the airplanes. You got the fundamentals down - support at a strong/stiff part of the model and immobilize it.

yeah, as long as the box doesn't get tipped or bashed around
the planes should be okay. at least one box is easier to carry than 5 separate planes.

This is a great topic for a thread. I recall having some nose damage to my 18" Currell Graphics R100 airship last move because I didn't pad around it enough and it bopped around in the box a bit.
When I move I try it use everything soft I'm moving with-- towels, underwear, etc.-- as packing material for fragile items. With something like an airship model the find and underside parts are very fragile so you have to rest inverted on something soft with space for nothing to touch the fins and such. Airdave's plane packing method will probably be OK if the wings are really sturdy, though I would cushion around the wings with something soft just to make sure they don't come out when some denting.
