Found a new link with all kinds of Mirror paper available. Quite a few of these say that they can be printed on with a Laser printer.
Kids Crafts Plus Foils & Mirror

If anyone tries some, how about a report on how they look...

After all of the testing and spending money for these different types of paper/cardstock, got to thinking of a way to possibly use some of the stuff that can't be run through an inkjet.

Has anyone tried making whole sheet size templates, cutting them out and then using spary paint to color and mark the outlines?

Thinking this could be done on a whole sheet, this would allow the edges to be taped before spraying. That way everything thing should line up once all of the parts have been cut out, using the painted outlines.

This also would allow duplicate parts using the template, just in case you mess some up, or want to make another model.

Might also be able to use Sharpie type markers to color detail areas and create the outlines.

Hey, I found an new pack of Neenah Metallic Champagne Pearl at Goodwill! I kind of wish it would have been more of a pearl white but still looking forward to trying it out.

I just saw this thread. is the foil paper good for molding curves? I like the poster board metallic! I am going to use the rippled blue metallic for my flying sub diorama with a clear piece on the top and sand pattern for the bottom, thank you for showing this today. I haven't had any luck printing on silver metallic, except the dark pewter looking kind. it always rubs off, even when sprayed with a fixative. some one posted a few years ago, about rolling on aluminum foil onto typing paper and using something like a wooden dowel paint roller tool thingy. they glued it to the paper with elmers glue. I tried and it worked ok, but not for the Jupiter 2 fulls kit I was building. I am thinking of laminating tissue or typing paper with glue, over floral green foam to make a compound curve work out, then when its dry, peel it off or pop it off.

MOAB Slickrock Metallic Silver 300gsm

Found the best available "chrome" look photo paper. Silver color means anything white will be silver.

Photo of recent project Saturn V Apollo/CSM:
Color Testing Metallic Paper-moab-slickrock-metallic-silver-300gsm.jpg

It is super expensive and at 300gsm some printers might not work very well.

It loves ink! Cures instantly and the colors are vivid and beautiful. No need for protective spray.
