Brother-Scan & Cut results

Hi to who ever is reading this.

I bought a Brother Scan and Cut recently.

After the tutorials and watching some Utube videos I decided to try cutting some of the card models I'm working on and after some minor adjustments to the scan/cut machine I scanned some of the figures that John Dell includes in his models.

I know the machine would cut long straight lines and those with curves, but I wanted to see what it could do with smaller, tighter turns etc. I used 65 lb card stock for this test.

The mechanic was done in a single cut, the pilot was done with two cuts because the blade was not long enough to get thru the card the first time.

Is that cut by a machine? How big are the figures? It looks pretty accurate, but you can still see some white edges.
I'll google this Brother Scan/Cut.

Sorry, I should have included a scale. They are 1:48 scalee, about 1.5" tall or so.

Yes there are some areaas that it missed the white paper, but I wanted to show what the machine will do on its own, without any help from me.

As I said, "Judge for yourself". I'm not selling these thing, just showing their capabilities.

One thing I didn't mention were the little "Fold here" pointers on the base. I left them there to show the detail this thing will cut to. On the original, they are just single weight lines with small arrow pointers on one end.

Thanks SFX, it does pretty good for a machine. However, I wonder if it would cut out thick materials (like formers)? I'm fine with 65lb, but that 1mm thick stuff kills my old fingers.

Thanks,
Gary
