Vacuum Pick Up Tool

Has anyone any experience with vacuum pick up tools? Are they worth buying?

Thanks Henry,

Nice tool, certainly for these bucks: just ordered a pair.

With my damaged fingers my first thoughts were that these were maybe a good idea, even at $19.95, but Henryk's rubber tube in the mouth idea hits the spot even better.

The other link had a different model for $12, but the shipping for either is high and I live in the same state as Micro Mark! Henryk's alternative certainly looks to be the better option.

I thought that paper is to porous to allow the tool to work. I tried using my vacuum de-soldering tool and it would not hold the paper.

Hi Jim
All art is hidden in the suction cup, the collar must be very soft
The porosity of the paper is insignificant.

Another possible inexpensive alternative, there is a simple tool called a "pick-up pencil". Instead of lead, it's filled with a slightly sticky wax-like material. I haven't tried one, but looks like it would work with paper.
