Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue

I really like the idea of using this glue since it is not water based and does not discolor the paper or cause the ink to run. But I am having a bit of difficulty using it. When using PVA I squirt out a bit in a small lid and use a toothpick to apply it which gives me pretty good control and the blob takes a while to dry out so I can use it for at least a few minutes before it gets too dry and gummy to use. But when I try using the same method to dispense the Beacon 3-in-1 it gets gummy almost instantly. Almost like rubber cement.

Do any of you have experience using this glue? What method have you found to be the best way to apply it to your models?

Thanks.
