Paper Sticks
Hi paper friends!
here is a technique I want to share with you, probably most of you know it or have theirs own technics to create stick with paper. I found a relation between 80gr paper and the diameter of the sticks so I use this table: long of paper diameter 6mm......................0.8mm 8mm......................1mm 10mm....................1.2mm 13mm....................1.5mm 18mm....................2mm almost each 2mm paper long is 0.2mm plus to diameter. this technique requires a bit of "skill" but with a pair of practiques you will create the sticks easily, fill free to experience ultil you find the best result and measures. 1.- Find a cork or similar ( semi hard ) block for roll, and cut rectangular pice of paper less than the size of the cork block, this is essential to roll uniformly. 2.- Mark the long measure according to the diameter desired. 3.- Roll a bit with hands and aply good press when rolling. 4.- Cut along the marked line. 5.- Apply glue along all the border. 6.- With the cork block and the "green carpet" apply slowly press while rolling the paper, PAY ATTENTION to the side of the paper rolling, as the ilustration says place the rool the roll in the correct rolling side (try the other side to see what happens) 7.- After rolling a bit you have your stick done, depending of the glue the stick will be harder. thanks for reading, any doupt or question please coment! regards. |
