Probably been asked a million times but....

I've chosen a lightsaber as my first paper model to do.

Which side of the black line do i cut, outer edge, or inner edge, so the black lines do not show?

Thanks

Depends on what the designer intended how you should cut.

there are designs where you need to cut outside the black line, there are designs where you need to cut inside the blackline

my advice is, cut outside the black line, if the part is too wide after shaping, then cut the black line off(it is easier to trim than to add material)

Or if the design needs to be cut outside the black line, you can always paint the line away with coloring pencils or paint, but seeing it is your first model, i would learn from cutting outside the black line, then print another copy, and if it you want, cut inside the black line, and paint as I suggested

Rick

What Rick says, chooses to cut on the outside of the line, you should see and adjust and then you will give an idea of what the designer intends, always short on the outside, usually I have no problems. But when you make an error (all we do it) there you have to adjust. And it depends a lot on the model, in some everything will fit perfectly and in others you'll get tired of correcting.
