okay, sorry to sidetrack the thread.
had me worried there.

I'm using mediafire for everything now.
images, weblinked images, storage photos,
pdfs, model downloads, model storage,etc
And the basic account is free.

Upgrades are basically for storage space, if 10gb isnt enough! lol
I actually have 50gb space...i think its because I have a very old subscription.
But even with 5000 images and 400 pdf models, the 10gb would serve me.
https://www.mediafire.com/upgrade/
Upgrading can also remove advertising and captcha codes for your clients.
Theres a few other features too.

sorry...sidetracking again...back to wing tips and such!

Like I mentioned in another thread I use corrugated cardboard as a filler/spacer in wingtips. Some tail surfaces can be done with it as well if they are large enough.

Take wingtip and cut piece of cardboard smaller than wingtip about 3-4mm.
Glue and form wing as needed and insert cardboard piece.Glue wingtip edges -cardboard piece is there to prevent wing surface from collapsing-try to use as little glue as possible.
This method works for me with small wingtips and when I use water based glue like LePage Carpenters brand.

Interesting technuique. Thank you for sharing. What is the advantage/ effect of preglueing?

pre gluing seems to allow a quick set when you line the parts up together. Golden bear used this technique to do a lot of edge and butt gluing. my theory is the pre glue sets in the pores of the paper so that the final glue adheres faster and somewhat stronger. I find the set times are shorter and you don't have to hold the pieces in alignment forever. On this site is the technique of all presented here combined for smooth clean tips. I think my me-109 builds shows this i'll have to check...
