From real object to paper model
I ran across this on the YouTubes tonight. I don't know if "real object" is a good term, but you can see what I mean A very interesting way to capture an object's shape and convert it to a paper model. I can see this as being potentially useful in translating organic curves to paper.

That is pretty neat.
There are instructions on the web on how to make a lifesize 3D paper model of yourself.

https://www.instructables.com/id/Project-Paper-clone/ This is a different technique, as the other involves literally wrapping paper on object to get a template. The other is a very good tutorial on how to model a character using photo references. I recommend both for someone looking for design workflow ideas.

Nice. I will try that on my motorcycle when the time comes.
I'm gonna need a lot of paper and tape. |
