I've only used glue sticks for card making. It has been my experience that over time the glue gives out. Does that happen with this type of glue stick? I tend toward Aleene's tacky glue. The paper bonds stronger than it was before and interweaves.

Also, how do people apply their glue? I have seen photos of people using white glue with a brush and water, but that would seem to put too much moisture on the paper (the reason I don't use Elmer's white glue). I usually apply glue with a straightened paper clip. I have two sizes for the size of the part that I'm gluing. I'll tidy up beads of glue with my Xacto blade for smaller parts. Thoughts?

Was chatting with a paper modeller at an exhibition and he also told me he chooses his glue according to taste! It was all about cleaning the brush he uses to apply the glue.

Haven't seen this brand here in Austria, but trust it tastes well enough

I usually put a small amount of glue on a piece of scrap plastic or on a piece of glass then dip a plastic toothpick in it and spread the glue on the area to be glued.

I sometimes put a small bead of glue on the area to be glued and then use the plastic toothpick to spread the glue.

Applying glue - trying Q-Tips and so far it works well

Like other Elmers (and UHU) products this stuff is also available in Australia - at a price.
This is the 25 gram
https://www.catch.com.au/product/elm...iABEgInF_D_BwE
(AUD is currently kicking around 0.71USD).

Obviously our Rick wasn't brung up licking gum arabic off postage stamps, envelopes and brown gummed parcel tape.
