By the way. Not sure if you buy new cartridges or refill them, but if you refill then check out the link below. I drilled and refilled. It printed over 70 "8x10" photos for my wife before needing another refill.

A $20 all in one, no matter the brand, is not going to have the features of a mainstream printer, regardless of the brand.

In the printer preferences of my $50 Canon, "borderless" is found as a checkbox on both the quick setup and page setup tabs. Give the suggestions to set the margins to 0.00 a try. But, I'm guessing that half an inch at the bottom of the page is for mechanical reasons. Just like most any brand back in the '90's.

I've found that print margins vary widely between printers. That's why I set my models to a specific area (7.56" x 10.5" base, and keeping the parts 1/2" from the top and bottom of that.) Pretty much any printer can jandle that.

Also just remember that - depending on the other settings you use - using a borderless setting may change the scale of what you are printing.

This is how I've solved the issue at my place, I do the pattern work for my wife's quilts as well and we had issues with printing patterns until I started setting a box in my cad program that's 7" x 10", between that and setting adobe to print "actual size" instead of the default "fit to page" we haven't had any issues since.
