Can you disable boarders on a Canon M2522?
I recently bought a Canon M2522 Printer at Wal-MArt
Now $19.oo Down from 34.oo The Only problem I have in using it versus any of the HP printers I had is that I can Not get it to print Full page WITHOUT boarders It chops off the last 1/2 inch of Any page EVERY Time!! I have gone trough every menu I can find, but..... I wish my last HP still worked!! It was a Print only and Not a Combo unit like the Canon The Best part is Scans are saved as pdf files and NOT jpg's Should I be looking for a refurbished HP printer??? using the canon mostly as a scanner?

Like to know the answer myself. Had
to retire my old HP Inkjet 1000. Got the walmart special like you, but yours was $10.00 cheaper. My HP didn't do boarderless printing, so I didn't worry about this one not doing it. My old printer was on its last legs. Needed a new cheap one fast.

No matter what, you should not be looking for another HP printer! lol
Seriously, they have got to be the most fragile printers on the market and the most expensive Inks! I don't care how well they print! I say this, having owned at least a dozen different HP Deskjets. FYI The "Walmart special" is cheap because it comes with empty Ink Cartridges. They only have about 10% Ink in them. The goal is to get you hooked on HPs and their expensive Cartridges. The Printers are a throwaway. re you "Boarder" issue... once Boarders move in, the law says you can't get rid of them!@ Its all your fault for letting them in in the first place! Borderless printing may not be an option unless you are photoprinting. You may have to specify photo paper, photo print, etc. Do you have control over margin settings? Maybe you can set to 0. Have you tried installing the Canon Print software? When you say you have tried all menu options, I wonder if you just don't have access to all printer options. What program are you printing from? Can you show me the first print window that appears when you click Print? Do you see "Preferences" or "Print Options" which would open a Canon Print window?

Hmm, so it cuts off the last bottom 1/2 inch? What about the sides? Or is the image slightly reduced, too?
I assume you're using US letter size paper. Check whether this persists if you choose US legal size in the print settings. Run with both legal and letter paper in the tray to see if the image prints correctly. You might also check if the Canon software has a "Print Preview" option. That might have a "Set Margins" option. Set everything to zero, and the printer should default to the bare minimum margins needed to print that size paper. This should allow enough room to print a complete image. Good luck! David T. Ah Dave, you beat me on the boarders issue! I was going to say break a leg....
---------------------- Dan - Dave's advice is spot on. I am pretty certain the Canons will do "borderless" printing. Follow his advice and give the info he has asked for and I am sure you will get there........

I opened a PDF. Clicked "print", and to the right of the printer name is "properties". Clicked it, and near bottom right is "margines". Clicked it, and set them at "0.0".

Another way to do it. Control panel, Printers, right click properties on Canon MG2500 series printer. Not the XPS. Click page set up. Click specify margines. Set margines to 0.0, and click ok. Then apply.
