My guess at this point will be a total of 150-200pgs. I'm sort of approaching this as a less serious research paper in terms of its feel and layout. [I kind of miss academia.] I'm definitely going to need some editing once I can get all of my mental spew onto the screen. |

I'm still making progress. I'm up to 85 page so far. I figure that to finish out the basic and advanced building techniques will bring it up to about 100 pages. Then there will be 50-100 pages on design considerations.

The deeper you explain techniques, the better will be the book. I'm working on Rocinante model from The Expanse (Tachi version) just to wait for your book and THEN do Narcissus model. I would like to know more about gluing rounded pieces before doing that Narcissus engines. :D

As of last night I'm up to 131 pages.
The rounded corners really aren't bad at all. They are like any other curved piece. You roll the section that is to be curved and then it is a butt joint to the parts on either side. |

I am glad to see that you are continuing this project.

I'm on my 5th rendition of the outline and have written 152 pages so far. I think I'm nearly done with my word vomit. I've also done a base readthrough and self-edit. Two friends are acting as editors (one even from academia). If there isn't a ton of re-work to do, I may have the book ready by the end of December.
...and I just thought of two more topics to include. Up in the thread is a link to the outline. If there are any other topics you'd like me to prattle on about, please let me know. |
