Which superglue?
I’ve nearly finished my tiny biplane, the Martin K.III Kitten by WAK, and I have some rigging to do. The fuselage is about 4-5 inches long, so it’s a small model. It needs flying and landing wires. I have some “Invisible” sewing thread that I thought might be a good choice — it’s similar to monofilament, and very fine. But I need a recommendation on brand names of superglue that are readily available in the U.S. I tried Gorilla Gel, but it seems to have set up in the bottle even though I just opened the package. Thoughts?

I use Titebond Instant Bond
It comes in 3 different viscosity, thin, medium and thick More than likely you will need either medium or thick The well stocked big box stores should have it, or a local woodworking specialty store, like Woodcraft will have it Rick

I like the Locktite Gel Control bottles. Not much in them but when needed permanent bond after 30-sec or so.
Bottle is easy to handle and the side squeeze in for exact control of how much you need. Just bought more of the Beacon brand, Zip Dry scrapbooking glue; it works like superglue for gluing almost anything to cardstock. 2fl oz size for $11 here in Alaska. Flammable mixture, but doesn't effect my eyes like super glue fumes do. Mike |

I'm partial to Loctite brand. I use both liquid and gel depending on the situation.

I have found that GORILLA SUPER GLUE MICRO PRECISE works very well, especially for very small parts that need that extra hold.

I would also recommend an accelerator for the super glue. Makes attachment much easier.
