Playin with Inkscape

OK.......... the RV build got me going and I started playing with Inkscape.

Here is something I "drew" up today. Wish it would save in more different formats, but making PDF with this is pretty neat. Also with Photoshop I can pull this in and change it to almost whatever I want.

Haven't figured out how to color with Inkscape yet, but I am playing with it, so who knows, I just might stumble on it

The simplest way is to right click an Inkscape object and look in the "stroke and fill" properties. You can play all sorts of games with gradients and blur as well. The colouring in Inkscape isn't as good as Photoshop because Inkscape is limited to the capabilities stated in the svg standard.

Charlie

Thanks Charlie............. must still have a loong way to go, because I didn't make any objects:o

I just made two layers and started tracing around the opaqued image in the other layer.

It was fun and I'm going to keep at it. I like the vector quaility and unlimited scale-ablity

I think you should be able select the traced line as an object - or you can group parts of the outline as an object. My current project pulls data out of a database and tries to render it as a tree structure in svg - so far it's been fun to learn Inkscape - I use it to check what the svg will look like in a browser.

Regards,

Charlie

John, John, John. That is pretty cool. I noticed you got some
kind of red smudge on there...
