Find and check a color

Anyone designing or doing a recolor that needs a specific color in their model should check this site

Art Paints - Artist Paint, Art Colors, Color, Painter, Painting with Color - Art-Paints.com

They have all the RGB/CMYK values for all of the model paint manufactures and pretty much any other paint maker.
For example if your cockpit needs to be green zinc chromate then look up Acrylic-ModelMaster-Green Zinc Chromate and Modelmaster tells you it should be R105, G151, B52. It works very well for tweeking colors in scans and faded models as well.

Another good source for Military paint specs is this link;Simmers Paint Shop - USAF/USN colorlist / aircraft colors (RGB values)
It gives the RGB as well as the CMYK colors. If you want to print it out there are
11 pages using legal size paper. It' what I use to determine the correct military
colors....Ron

I was wrong on my statement that it included CMYK values..However if
you put the RGB colors into another program it will give you the CMYK
equivalents. You will also notice over on the left hand side there is a
popular download of Military stencils. This download installs into your
Windows fonts and allows you insert numerals and letters on your
model in various sizes....Ron

Ron your right Simmers Paint Shop is another great source and one that I've also used. My frustration was it was just military colors. What led me to Art Paint site was trying to match Ferrari Red and British Racing Green. I also find it handy to be able to cheat and use the plastic kit manufacturers paint patterns/colors.
