What adhesives do you use?

I've been hearing Carl rave about Duco for ages and would like to try it. Several others have also reported very good results with it. I can't find it around here and all of the online places want more to ship it than the glue costs. It's not really alot of coin but I have a problem with that. I don't consider that eccentric maybe odd but not eccentric.

Carl, I apologize again for encouraging you to try Aleene's Tacky glue, I should have known better.

I have put down the stick and I am backing away slowly.

The 3m spray is great for fast lamination, no better that I see. I usually use elmers for slow lamination (overnight slow) Ya know, interestingly enough Duco isn't that hard to find, but I only see it in certain stores, I don't know why, gonna have to get some and give it a go, what the heck? I often laminate with inferior materials, so that's why the elmers, for Halinski double ** I use cardboard "chipboard" with cardstock laminated to both sides with elmers, thick enough and stiff enough, but real slow to dry fully. I have to laminate up stuff the day before, not always convenient, and press with books or something. I like using stuff I have a'laying about, but if I invested in better stuff to have laying about.. hmm. Thanks guys.

I've gone to Aileens for most simple assemblies now.
Large assembly areas, I go back to good old Elmer's white. I find the Aileens will dry before I get glue applied to the whole area sometimes, so I use the Elmer's to avoid these situations.
Laminations - 3m spray. I tried elmer's spray - failed miserably, even with overnight drying.
Stiffening and paper to wire - CA, but the thick 'gap-filling' type found in hobby stores.
Clear plastic bits - JOZ Super RCZ56.

The glue I use most often is Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky Glue.

The following have been and are still used at various times:

Aleene's Original Tacky Glue
Aleene's 2in1 Glue
Duro All-Purpose Spray Adhesive
Loctite Super Glue
Instant Krazy Glue Advanced Formula Gel
The Original Super Glue
Ross Stik glue stick
Scotch Repositionable Craft Stick

I tried UHU Office Pen at the recommendation of someone and found it to be dissapointing (to be polite).

Recently I have felt like I am being poked with a stick so have developed an urge to find some Duco Cement and Tombow Mono Aqua to try. :D

I use the following:

superglue
UHU glue sticks (big and small sizes0
UHU water-based (in the yellow and green bottle)

I gave up no spray adhesives. The UHU sticks work well and dont warp. I used Elmer's school glue gel for years but I like the UHU better. I think I will have to rustle up some Duco, just to keep GB company...

I admire and respect Carl's adherence (rim shot) to Duco. I keep a tube handy and occasionally try to use it in hopes that some day I will be able to emulate the Master.

Until then, its Super 77 for large laminating jobs, Elmers Glue-all for most paper modeling work and for small paper-to-card laminations (I, too, have had delamination problems with glue stick for paper-to-card lamination), UHU or Avery purple glue stick for paper-to-paper laminations (and some tissue to balsa work), Aleene's gold tacky glue for some paper work requiring fast adhesion, and CA for metal-to-paper and/or metal-to -wood and to strengthen thin paper parts.
